This coming Saturday I will be at my first market selling some Doodlebooty goodies I’ve sewn. See image for details about this Christmas Market.
I have focused on “stocking fillers”. Smaller items, as not everyone can afford imported custom designed fabric over the Christmas holidays, right?! 😀
It’s been a “pinterest-inspired” few weeks. I’ve been sewing coasters. And that sounds boring right? But they are cool coasters. 80’s IT gal/guy kinda cool. A soft resting place for a coffee or tea mug. For the older folk you will remember them as a stiffy disc (Americans call it a Floppy disc). For the younger folk, it will look like the “save” icon…..
For the fine dining ladies and gents, wine coasters! You can tuck the bottom part of your wine glass into these coasters and they will stay put! It doesn’t matter where you put down your wine glass, there will be a coaster! Any host’s dream!
I’ve also made some Pee Pee Tee Pees. Those little “tents” that prevents parents and caregivers from being “sprinkled” on by little boys! We know removing a little boy’s nappy is an invite to open the flood gates! Pee Pee Tee Pees to the rescue! We have some space movie inspired Pee Pee Tee Pees and some “adult content” Pee Pee Tee Pees (swear words).
And lastly, Christmas will not be Christmas without little Elves. I’ve only made these two due to time constraints. I hope to make some clothing for them too before Saturday! Holding thumbs!
I will also take along items that are currently listed on my website under “ready to ship“. My Mother-in-Law will also be adding some of her beautiful handbags to the table! I can’t wait to see them.
I only have Pee Pee Tee Pees and fabric dolls listed to order on my website. However, if you’d like me to make you some coasters in the future, please send me a message at talk at doodlebooty dot co dot za or info at doodlebums dot co dot za. I’m just typing out those electronic addresses like that so spam bots don’t steal it.
Hope to see you at the Langebaan Christmas Market this Saturday!
As always, I welcome your feedback.
